The nineteenth volume in the ever-expanding Twilight Sessions series, available on CD and download.
The music on this album is completely improvised.
I have a palette of sounds I can use and manipulate including piano and synths from my laptop as well as ebowed guitar.
I press record and play notes into a long, slowly decaying loop and see where the music takes me.
This album was recorded at MCos, Manchester in July 2016 with a minimal set up during rehearsals for my first solo gig in 3 years at Humber Street Sesh 2016. You can download that gig from bingsatellites.bandcamp.com/album/live-in-hull
The cover photograph shows waste ground in Monsall, Manchester. Years ago, crumbling factories and housing were knocked down. In many areas of East Manchester, such as this, nothing has replaced it. Nature has taken over.Spotify users can listen to Twilight Session playlist.
